The Kuna High School cross country team is hosting its second annual “Everybody Run” 5K race 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

Community runners get a chance to run the same cross country course as the high school runners. The course winds through the Cloverdale Sod Farm near Falconcrest Golf Course, taking runners over variable terrain, including a small orchard, muddy roads, irrigation ditches and piping, and, of course, miles of sod.

Coach Chuck Tookey and Coach Josh Noteboom will spend hours the day before the race setting up 800 landscaping flags to mark the course, as well as spraying lines to mark the 1-, 2- and 3-mile marks.

Runners of all ages and abilities are invited to run.

Participants can register through BlueCircleSports.com. The cost is $30, with all proceedings going to benefit the cross country team. Fundraising efforts go toward new uniforms and equipment, coaches’ training, and other needs of the team that are not covered by the school district.
