KUNA — The city has hired its economic development coordinator.

Robin Collins, who is the Assistant Economic Development Director for the City of Nampa, confirmed she has accepted Kuna’s newly created position of economic development coordinator, a position that will help facilitate growth in Kuna.

She will start her position Dec. 11.

Collins said she feels Kuna has a lot of potential for growth, both in existing businesses and possible industry. She already has plans to familiarize herself with Kuna and meet with local business owners to see how she can help those businesses to grow and how to better facilitate the support services they utilize.

Collins also plans to ask residents what they would like to see come to Kuna. She is excited to develop working relationships with Kuna residents and businesses and “help however she can.”

“It’s cool to step into a position like that,” Collins said. “That’s what I love to do. I love to help communities grow.”
