According to Boise BLM officials, so far no evacuation orders have been given for an 80-acre fire near Kuna Mora Road.
KUNA — Kuna fire and other entities battled a 280-acre grass fire off Kuna Mora and Cole roads June 29.
The fire, dubbed the York Fire, threatened two structures and forced an hour-long closure of Kuna Mora Road.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, as of Thursday, June 29.
Boise fire was also on the scene, as well as the The Boise Bureau of Land Management.
Seven engines, one helicopter, one air attack, two SEAT planes, one heavy air tanker, two dozers and one water tender were apart of the initial response. A total of 30 people assisted in containment.
According to BLM officials in Boise, no evacuations were ordered.
Grass and sage brush had been burning north of the intersection of Kuna Mora and south Cole roads on state and private lands.
The cause is still under investigation and remains undetermined.
