Story Times are at 11 a.m. through Aug. 25. Book Babies will continue on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and PJ Story Time on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Full fall programs will begin Monday, Aug. 29.

KUNA — Thousands of children and teens headed back to school in the Kuna school district on Aug. 22, while teary-eyed parents said goodbye for another year.

The senior center will be closed Sept. 5 for Labor Day. Starting on Sept. 7, bingo on Wednesday and Friday will start at 10:45 a.m. This allows us to have an exercise class before bingo starts.

In the cool evenings, I sit out out on my patio lounge chair and read. I am accompanied by my two guard cats. Kadi is a stripped Maine Coon cat and Le Le is a calico, both female. They sit and watch for intruders, such as other cats and squirrels.

The Kuna library would like to congratulate our Kuna Klues winner for the month of July, Kade McRae. Kade correctly guessed the title of the mystery book, “The Lion and the Mouse,” by Jerry Pinkney. As the winner, Kade received a copy of the book. Way to go, Kade! Come to the children’s room…

The senior center has a 2001 Ford Champion that is up for sale. It can carry 15 passengers with a wheelchair lift, and two wheelchair hook ups. It has just over 124,000 miles on it. The bus is in good condition. Contact Nichole at 922-9714 for information.
